The iPad is a fabulous teaching tool.
Modern educators are faced with challenges for bringing opportunities in the classroom to engage learners and help students with varying abilities succeed. The good news is that with the use of iPads in the classroom, there are more opportunities than ever to leverage the power of technology to help a variety of learners.
In our school, I oversee an iPad BYOD program for grades 2 up to grade 5 in Elementary classes. We also offer special education services for students in need for extra help and support with learning. In the Special Education classroom, we are finding that iPads can be a vital tool to support engagement with learning. What sets the iPad apart from other devices is the simple and visually robust user interface that can be used by almost everyone. Also, out of the box with no additional purchase, Apple provides various accessibility features on the iPad, right at your fingertips.
